| Military: | No service record has been found for John. The only references to his military service is an absent voters entry for North Lopham, “200398 Pte., 1/4th Nfks.” and a stay in the 19th General Hospital on 12 October 1917 for 4 days suffering with sandfly fever. From this it is likely that John was part of the British Salonika Force in the Balkans during the Gallipoli Campaign for some of his service. |
